Chaand has finished writing her new screenplay, which is published. It is Available on Amazon.
The story is about Colonial exploitation, using Koh-i-Noor as a symbol of British exploitation in India.
This new film is seeking finance, there is huge interest in this post-colonial story. Some negotiations are going on. We are looking for a producer who is interested and can empathize with such a subject and this material.
Chaand is also working on her first novel: 'Why Shouldn’t Girls Laugh?' This novel is about exploring women’s position in India and Globally at large. Women are still exploited, sexually abused and their position undermined.

CVS Films: Its first feature length production is – THROW OF A DICE; written produced and directed by Chaand Chazelle. We shot the film in Nov’ 2010, Had a preview at the Watermans in 2012.

Brief synopsis: Duncan Beckford, a geneticist, stacks shelves in a supermarket. A chance meeting with Neeta, secures him a research job and a life partner. His happy life is shattered when his brother is burnt alive. Duncan embarks upon a quest to protect his unborn child through the only means he knows-Genetics.
THROW OF A DICE- poses difficult questions about race and ethics, also examines the trauma of loss and its long-lasting effect on human psyche.
